The Fishers Tigers traveled to Noblesville and dominated the Millers en route to a 42-17 victory. The Tigers offense was electric all night highlighted by 225 yards receiving by senior Vincent Rozzi to set the school record for single game receiving yards. Gage Sturgill passed for 278 yards and 3 touchdowns and Ryan Thembulembu had 124 yards on the ground and 3 touchdowns of his own. The Millers received the opening kickoff, but the Tigers defense stepped up quickly and forced a 3-and-out and a Noblesville punt. Thembulembu had a 48-yard run around the outside to get the Tigers into the red zone before finishing the drive with a 3-yard run to give Fishers the early lead. Cooper Stout had a sack to break up the next Millers drive and again force a punt. Sturgill started to find Rozzi during the Tigers 2nd drive with two long completions of over 20 yards before Thembulembu again finished the drive – this time with a 7-yard run. The Millers appeared to have some momentum early in the 2nd quarter as Alex Hamm came up with a strip sack to give Noblesville good field position. But the Tigers defense forced a field goal attempt and Caden Lyden connected on a 26-yard field goal to make the score 14-3. Fishers continued to attack through the air as Sturgill connected with Rozzi on three passes, including the last one for a 39-yard touchdown. The Tigers got the ball back and Thembulembu converted a long 3rd down run to keep the drive going before finishing with a strong 13-yard touchdown to push the lead to 28-3 in favor of the Tigers. A big return by Cody Prather got the Millers into Tigers territory, but Atticus Finley intercepted a pass and returned it just shy of midfield with just under 2 minutes to play in the half. Sturgill connected with Rozzi for a touchdown with under a minute to go to give Fishers a 35-3 lead going into the locker room. Sturgill and Rozzi came out of the locker room hot as Rozzi racked up almost 60 yards receiving on one drive before Sturgill found a wide open Darian Girton to push the lead to 42-3 and start a running clock. Another big return by Prather set up a short touchdown run by Noah Shinkle to make the score 42-10 in favor of Fishers. After the defensive starters had been pulled for the Tigers, Shinkle again found the end zone from 5 yards out to make the final score 42-17 and give Fishers the win on night of conference play.
