Varsity vs Mt Vernon High School (Fortville) (16 - 4) Win Adrianne Cook drove in six runs on four hits to lead Fishers Varsity Tigers past Mt. Vernon Varsity Lady Marauders 16-4 on Thursday. Adrianne Cook hit a home run to center field in the fifth scoring three, doubled in the second scoring two, doubled in the first scoring one, and singled in the fourth scoring one. Fishers Varsity Tigers got on the board in the top of the first inning after Kendall Jordan singled to the left side of the infield, and Adrianne Cook doubled to center field, each scoring one run. Fishers Varsity Tigers scored six runs on seven hits in the top of the second inning. Cate Summerfield singled, scoring one run, Hailey Kinder singled, scoring one run, Kendall Jordan doubled, scoring one run, Adrianne Cook doubled, scoring two runs, and Anna McGrath singled, scoring one run. Vernon Varsity Lady Marauders. Frankie Jackson earned the win for Fishers Varsity Tigers. The right-handed pitcher surrendered eight hits and four runs (two earned) over five innings, striking out two and walking none. Amelia Anderson took the loss for Mt. Vernon Varsity Lady Marauders.
