The Fishers Tigers JV1 Red team (3-5/2-4) won the finale of the conference series by a score of 15-12 over the Noblesville Millers in a wild and high-scoring affair. The Tigers were outhit 11 to 6 but managed to hold the Millers in check and create enough of their own offense. Noblesville jumped out to a 4-run lead in the bottom of the 1st, but the Tigers answered right back in the top of the 2nd. Asher Nelson provided a bases loaded triple that tied the game at 4. Two batters later Andrew Baldini connected with a 2-RBI single. The Tigers offense stayed hot and added 4 more runs in both the top of the 3rd and top of the 5th innings. Blake Wilson had a 2-RBI double and Carlos Altuve had a 2-RBI triple. As darkness moved in during the bottom of the 6th inning, the Millers tried to make a comeback, but the batter representing the tying run struck out to end the game. Jerry Jaramillo earned his 2nd win of the season as he went 3 innings allowing 3 earned runs while striking out 4. Will Engebretson and Max Meyer both pitched in relief and worked well to limit damage and maintain the Tigers lead.
