The Fishers Tigers opened the 2026 season on the road at Carmel but fell to the Greyhounds, 47-0. Carmel controlled the game from start to finish, amassing more than 400 yards of total offense while limiting Fishers to 105 yards. The Tigers attempted to establish the running game, recording 25 rushing attempts for 44 yards. Freshman quarterback Roman Wessel made his first varsity start, completing 8 of 20 passes for 60 yards. The Greyhounds' up-tempo offense struck quickly, scoring just two minutes into the contest. Fishers put together a pair of promising drives in the first quarter but was forced to punt on both possessions. Freshman Hayden Skelton highlighted one drive with a key first-down reception before the Tigers' momentum stalled. Carmel added two second-quarter touchdowns to build a 27-0 halftime lead. Wessel connected with Max Hopkins for a first down during one of Fishers' better drives, but a fumble on a reverse halted the possession and gave the ball back to the Greyhounds. The Tigers' defense responded by forcing a punt, but the offense was unable to capitalize. In the backfield, Jared Bonds and Sam Hawkins Jr. shared the workload. Bonds carried the ball nine times for 23 yards, while Hawkins Jr. added 26 yards on eight rushing attempts. Defensively, Jordan Kinder led the Tigers with eight tackles and a pass breakup. Parker Congdon recorded a sack, while Drew Spicer, Carter Hackworth, Cullen Wolf, Keagan Lett, and Maleek Daouda each contributed a tackle for loss.
